Important notice: New US tariff rules for postal shipments – Effective 29 August 2025

The United States recently announced significant changes to its import tariff rules that will impact customers sending items from Australia to the US and Puerto Rico.

From Tuesday 26 August 2025, Australia Post is temporarily partially suspending international parcel services to the US due to the recently introduced changes. Letters and documents of no commercial value are not impacted by the new tariff rules or temporary suspension.

The changes are described in US Executive Order 14324.

Australia Post is working closely with the United States Postal Service (USPS), US Customs & Border Protection (CBP) and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), the Universal Postal Union (UPU) and other partners to ensure accurate information concerning the changes is shared with customers, and to provide updates as they are available. 

Effective immediately, Nancy Stroop businesses will not be shipping physical products to the USA. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but it’s out of my control.

I have some fantastic news to share with you all.

A lot of you will know that I have been unwell for many months, and it’s meant I have been unable to sew, design or anything much at all.

Well, a couple of weeks ago I had an appointment with my neurologist.

She prescribed me some new medications and I’m pleased to say that they are working.

My constant headaches are all but gone, I feel great and I’m ready to get back my life.

I’m hoping to get back on my computer this coming week, and start redesigning and re-releasing my patterns, with great new updates and techniques.
