The Talissa Zip Tote is made for anyone who likes to carry it all, and also likes to have their valuables secure.
The tote features a zippered opening on the top and also has a large flap which covers the zip and closes with a magnetic snap on the front pocket.
Long 1″ (2.5cm) wide straps
Inside is a large slip pocket which secures with a magnetic snap.
Talissa has a roomy interior for the rest of your things.
Easy boxed corners too! The pattern also comes with my a key ring you can make
Measures approx. 15″ (38cm) wide x 11 1/2″ (29cm) tall x 4″ (10cm) deep.

This pattern is complete with a list of materials required, in Imperial and Metric, detailed pattern instructions with diagrams and photographs, numbered pattern pieces, and pattern piece labels.

Materials required
I have included measurements for both Imperial and Metric. The fabric measurements are approximate
and will depend on the fabric you are using. If you have a directional print or you want to ‘fussy cut’ you may need to buy more fabric to allow for matching of designs etc.
Imperial:
24″ length of 44″ wide fabric (exterior) 30″ length of 44″ wide fabric (lining) 14” length of 44” wide fabric (contrast)
33″ length of 35″ wide of Fusible fleece (Legacy 987F, H640 or Thermolam) 65” length of 20” wide light/medium interfacing (SF 101 or Form Fuse 1400) 20” length of 60” wide Fusible foam (Bosal or similar)
2” x 8” piece of heavy interfacing (Vilene/Pellon heavy or similar) 2 x 11/16″ magnetic snaps
1 x 16″ zip
1 x 1” D ring
1 x 1” key fob/split ring set 1 x 1” swivel snap hook
Metric:
61cm length of 110cm wide fabric (exterior) 76cm length of 110cm wide fabric (lining) 36cm length of 110cm wide fabric (contrast)
84cm length of 90cm wide of Fusible fleece (Legacy 987F, H640 or Thermolam) 165cm length of 51cm wide light/medium interfacing (SF 101 or Form Fuse 1400) 51 cm length of 150cm wide fusible foam (Bosal or similar)
5.1cm x 20cm piece of heavy interfacing (Vilene/Pellon or similar) 2x 18mm magnetic snaps
1 x 40cm zip.
1 x 25mm D ring
1 x 25mm key fob/split ring set 1 x 25mm swivel snap hook
You may choose to add a rivet to your key ring strap. Just add 1 x 3/8” x 5/16” (9mm x 8mm) double cap rivet to your hardware purchase (You may need a couple extra to allow for wastage/damage)
You will also need some of these items to complete your bag
Coordinating thread Tape measure
Rotary cutter and cutting board or scissors, Pinking shears (Optional) Iron/Ironing board/Pressing cloth
Pins or Wonder Clips and a safety pin for drawstring
Stitch ripper (cos you’ll probably need to use it at some point) Regular sewing machine foot,
Buttonhole, Teflon and Zipper feet Fray Stop (Optional)
Fabric/Metal Glue (Optional)
Rivet setting tool/ Hammer and hole punch
Chopstick or a tool for poking out corners (preferably with a rounded end)
You can use sew in foam if you wish.
Also, if you choose to make the bag in one colour or change where you have contrast fabrics etc. you will need to work out the fabric required for any other combination.
